It’s easy to slip into a prideful moment of an unforgiving moment; thinking we deserve to feel a certain way for what other people have ‘done’/ ‘said’. And some people born with a gift of sensitivity, need a bigger heart to forgive. And it requires grace from Father God.

Psalm 34:18 (NASB95) The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
Psalm 34:18 (NASB95) The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

Personally, when I feel that 'moment' arise; I ask The LORD to help me to let go.

So I asked the Holy Spirit; how do I react/ hold a thought in me with wisdom coming from above towards individuals who don’t have the best intentions? Should I simply ignore my awareness and suppress it?

The answer is NO.

You talk to the LORD with raw honesty. That you have this knowing and you despise it. Since you can't hide anything from Him anyway..:)

First, we asked for forgiveness for feeling hatred towards the situation/ Individual and asked Him for help to replace it with a heart that is able to forgive.

It will be a lifelong journey for me. And every time I just wanted to hate instead to forgive; I let myself ask this question:

”Why would I want Satan to win the battle?”

Maybe the experience is a blessing in disguise itself. So we would lean on Him more. Pray to Him more and talk with raw honesty. In that moment of honesty it is impossible to not acknowledge our own flaws. And then we get to submit our flaws & weaknesses in prayer to Him.

Forgiveness is a process and it doesn’t mean you have to force yourself into a toxic situation. Forgiveness means you have surrendered the situation into the LORD’s hand through prayer; and now we can sit back and wait on the LORD.

Psalm 55:22 (NASB95)
Cast your burden upon the LORD and He will sustain you;
He will never allow the righteous to be shaken.
